Approximately 300 gravel cyclists showed out in force on Sunday, Jan. 7, for the Arkansas R3 Pea Ridge Ramble Ride. Riders completed a 30- or 36-mile route, which stopped at the Pea Ridge R3 hub, as well as Pea Ridge City Hall. Mayor Nathan See met gravel cyclists and talked about his vision for the future of gravel riding in Pea Ridge.

More than 200 riders converged on the Evans farm Tuesday evening to meet with local farmers and share experiences about gravel cycling, the fastest-growing cycling sport in the US.
Wes Evans and his wife, Laura, were named Benton County Farm Family of the Year in May. They hosted the event in partnership with Arkansas Rural Recreational Roads (Arkansas R3), Arkansas Farm Bureau, and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.

If you’re a cyclist, few cities anywhere have the resources that Bentonville does. With 150+ miles of greenway and bike path, 340+ miles of mountain bike trails, and an entire infrastructure seemingly built around the bicycle, it’s hard to imagine somewhere better.
