Business or Adventure: Thaden Charters Adds New Aircraft to Lineup

Operating out of Downtown Bentonville’s Thaden Field (VBT), Thaden Charters has long served as a first choice for adventurers and business travelers. The advantages of a charter flight over commercial airlines are many: Charter clients can skip the security lines, parking shuttles, and crowded terminals. Now, with the addition of two new aircraft, the possibilities for exploration are even greater.

“We’ve had a lot of demand for a smaller option for shorter trips, so we’re proud to announce the addition of our Cirrus SR22 Turbo G5,” says First Officer Kat Newman. “The Cirrus is a perfect aircraft for a day trip to Little Rock (45min), Dallas (1.5hrs), Kansas City (1hr), etc. We can comfortably accommodate up to three adults with luggage.”

The Cirrus is known for its advanced safety features, including a ballistic parachute system that can deploy in the event of an emergency. It also features a state-of-the-art avionics suite that includes synthetic vision technology, allowing pilots to have a clearer view of their surroundings even in challenging weather conditions. With a range of up to 1,000 nautical miles and a cruising speed of up to 200 knots, the SR-22 Cirrus is ideal for both business and leisure travel.

“In addition to the SR-22 Cirrus, we also offer the PC-12 Pilatus NGX, which is a brand new 2021 single-engine turboprop aircraft that is highly versatile and capable of transporting up to eight passengers,” Kat adds.

The Pilatus is equipped with an advanced avionics suite and an improved engine that provides better performance and fuel efficiency. The Pilatus is operated with a crew. This means that there are two highly trained and experienced pilots in the cockpit at all times, working together to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. The two-pilot crew system provides several important benefits. First, it allows the pilots to share the workload, which can help reduce fatigue and enhance safety. It also allows for better communication and decision-making, as the pilots can work together to identify and address any issues that may arise during the flight.

“Our team can help you plan almost any adventure you can dream of,” Kat says. “Biking, hiking, golf, shopping excursions, sports events, or even just a big fun family vacation. Whatever it is, we’ll get you there.”

In-flight meals also got a huge upgrade, with the addition of catering services from Louise, Thaden Field’s well known and highly regarded on-site restaurant.

“The new and improved catering menu features a wide range of options to suit any taste or dietary requirement,” Kat says.

The Thaden Charters team is made up of Kat, Josh Martin, Caio Campos and Dave Boyd. Josh flies the Cirrus as well as the PC-12 along with Caio and Kat. Caio is the Chief Pilot, Dave is the Director of Operations, and Kat also manages dispatch. To find out how easy it is to fly with Thaden Charters, visit their website.
